Melinda Hanson
is cofounder of Electric Avenue, a consultancy firm that is working to decarbonize urban transport. By working with companies, non-profits, and city agencies, their mission is to move 20% of urban car trips to electric two- and three-wheelers. Prior to Electric Avenue, Hanson was head of sustainability at Bird where she oversaw sustainability research and policy development.
MATT HAGGMAN
is executive vice president of Opportunity Miami at The Beacon Council where he leads a newly launched initiative that focuses on collaborating across a broad spectrum of stakeholders to advance the goal of a thriving, inclusive and diverse community. Previously, Haggman was an award-winning journalist with the Miami Herald and a local director at the Knight Foundation.
DR. BRIAN HAUS
is chair of the Department of Ocean Sciences at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science where his research focuses on air-sea interactions and radar remote sensing of oceanographic processes. Dr. Haus is also director of the SUSTAIN Lab, a powerful wind-wave tank that can create category 5 hurricane force winds of up to 155 mph enclosed in clear acrylic.
